Welcome to the website of de Dutch society of psychodermatology (NVPD).

Psychodermatology on the one hand deals with patients referred to dermatology departments who have an underlying primary psychiatric disease or who develop psychiatric morbidity as a consequence of their skin disease. On the other hand psychodermatology deals with the role of psychosocial factors in development, course and treatment of skin disease.

The aim of the NVPD is to promote, spread and apply knowledge and new insights and to promote collaboration between medical/psychosocial professionals in the area of psychodermatology.
